Clare Waight Keller Brings Old-School Parisian Glamour to Reformation

The capsule reimagines heirloom jewelry for the modern-day wardrobe.

Updated heirlooms are arguably the hottest jewelry trend right now. Chalk it up to the resurgence of vintage pieces as well as the style cred that comes with having something elusive from the past. Thanks to Reformation’s new jewelry capsule designed by Clare Waight Keller (you might recognize the name from her tenures at Chloé and Givenchy), you don’t have to sort through bins upon bins to find the perfect piece.

“The collection is entirely inspired by Paris in the 1920s,” Waight Keller tells ELLE. “It’s intended to conjure a night on the town replete with French glamour.” The 10-piece assortment features earrings, bracelets, and necklaces designed to feel like heirloom pieces with a fresh, modern perspective. The campaign, starring Dree Hemingway, was inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s 1920s Paris-set memoir, A Moveable Feast—a fitting choice.

The pieces do bring to mind jewelry you’d find on a vintage jeweler’s Instagram feed—think: Paris dealers who regularly find the most covetable, one-of-a-kind pieces. “Aesthetically, there’s a sense of timelessness and versatility throughout,” Waight Keller continues. “Really romantic, dainty, delicate styles that look like they could be heirlooms, alongside bolder pieces with modern, strong lines [that are] perfect for adding an effortless statement, day or night.”

The British designer is certainly no stranger to elevating accessible style. Having recently been appointed Uniqlo’s creative director, Waight Keller is a talent you want designing the collections you shop. “It’s hard to find a really well-designed piece at a reasonable price,” she confesses. “I particularly love the molded, sculpted cuffs—they look beautiful worn solo for everyday wear or with one on each wrist for a bolder evening look.”

Staying true to Reformation’s commitment to responsible production practices, the capsule is made with recycled 24-karat gold vermeil, 925 sterling silver, and semi-precious stones. “The deadstock jade represents the midnight sky,” Waight Keller says. “There’s a hint of sparkle that represents the stars and magic of a night out in Paris.”
